Excitement can be a pretty cool feeling so it might come as a surprise that
excitement is not the feeling you are striving for when it comes to manifesting your dreams. Einstein said “Everything is energy and that is all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy, this is physics.”
Everything is energy…. you and the things of your dreams. Everyone and everything has a vibration. We know that like attracts like when it comes to vibration…that is just science. In order to attract and live into that which you desire you must be on the same vibrational frequency with it. One of my mentors, Mary Morrissey, says it this way, “You can’t get to your dream, you must come from it”.
Excitement is the word we use to describe a heightened level of energy (vibration) that is above what is normal for us. By definition is it a spike in energy. It is a surface feeling that is the effect of something that we are experiencing or that we are expecting. It is a feeling that dissipates.
On the flip side, when you are living the life you dream about you will be in deep gratitude for that life; you will be enthusiastic about your life; it will have become normal to live that life; you will be maintaining a higher level of vibration than you are currently holding.
In order to “come from your dream”, the frequency of it must become normal to you…not an energetic spike.
When you think of your dreams as a possibility in the future you experience excitement. Because the feeling is a spike of higher vibration, not your norm, the subconscious recognizes it as not your norm and by law, it must bring you back to what is currently normal for you.
However, when you create a vision of the life you desire and you rigorously rehearse what it feels like as if it is already happening, this heighten level of vibration becomes your new normal. Enthusiasm for what is replaces excitement for what might be. This happens because your subconscious does not know the difference between imagined and real, thus, by practising the deeper, internal feeling of enthusiasm that comes when you repeatedly imagine your dream “…you cannot help but get that reality”.
Take a moment right now to jot down something that you want to become your new normal!
